4-E. The RGB Values Panel

RGB Values Panel Once you have selected a colour you will see its value in the "RGB Values" panel.

The "RGB Values" panel allows you to copy the displayed value to the clipboard for use in another program. Copying can be done in any of three ways: You can right click on the value and select copy, you can press the copy button, or you can place a checkmark in the "Auto Copy" box to automatically copy any colour chosen.

The "RGB Values" text can also be displayed in several different ways. You can view the value in Hexadecimal, Decimal, HTML, or Internet Explorer/Netscape colour names. The HTML option displays the complete COLOR="#RRGGBB" code to be used in a web page. If you click on a standard colour from the 16 colour palette you will notice that the actual HTML 3.2 word designation is used instead of the hexadecimal value. $$When the IE/NS option is checked the Internet Explorer 5.0 /Netscape colour names are used.

A BGR selector changes the order of the values for use by those who are using programming languages that send values in this format to your hardware. The BGR mode can not be used with the HTML option.
